BIO

Luigi Girlanda is a tenured professor of Philosophy and Human Sciences at the Liceo ‘Mazzatinti’ in Gubbio (PG). He graduated in Philosophy in 1999 from the University of Perugia with a thesis on ‘The Problem of Jesus in the Thought of Jean Guitton’. In 2003 he graduated in Religious Sciences at the Theological Institute of Assisi with a paper on the Jewish dimension of Jesus. Since 2016, he has been registered as a journalist with the Order of Journalists of Umbria, ‘Publicists’ Register. For the past few years he has been a contributor to the journal of apologetics “Il Timone”, with whom he also edited important entries in the ‘Dictionary of Dangerous Thought’ and the ‘Dictionary of Illustrious Catholics’.

In 2006 he founded the cultural Association “Benedetto XVI”, of which he is president, and which was the subject of a prestigious award in 2013 by Pope Benedict XVI himself who, in a letter signed by him, complimented what the association is doing 'for the renewal and deepening of Catholic culture in our time'.
